What to Expect During Your Roofing Project

Getting a new roof is a big step for any homeowner. At Iron Brothers Contracting, we want the process to feel smooth, transparent, and stress-free. Whether your project is retail or insurance-based, the steps are the same — and knowing what to expect can make the experience a whole lot easier.

The Process

Delivery of Materials

Your roofing materials will arrive at your home in advance of the project. We’ll notify you before delivery so you have time to prepare. Materials are typically placed in your driveway or yard — so a little extra space goes a long way.

Project Start

Once the crew begins, expect an early start. Work typically runs throughout the day, and you’ll notice noise, hammering, and even a few vibrations. This is all completely normal during roof installation.

Tear-Off & Installation

Old shingles or metal panels are carefully removed. Then, your new roof is installed section by section to ensure your home stays protected at all times. Our crews work efficiently but never cut corners, making sure every layer is installed properly.

Clean-Up & Inspection

After installation, we roll through with a magnetic sweeper to collect stray nails and remove all debris. A final inspection ensures everything meets our quality standards before the job is considered complete.

How You Can Help

A smooth project isn’t just about what happens on the roof — homeowners play a role too. Here are a few ways you can prepare:

  • Clear Your Driveway & Yard Keep your driveway open for material delivery and crew parking. Move patio furniture, grills, or other outdoor items to avoid damage.

  • Protect Inside Belongings Roofing work can cause vibrations that shift items on shelves or walls. Consider removing fragile decorations. If your attic is used for storage, cover belongings to protect them from dust or debris.

  • Plan Around Noise Roofing is noisy work. If possible, plan quiet time away from home, especially for kids or pets that may be sensitive to the sounds of construction.

  • Be Weather Aware Weather can impact progress. Rain or snow may cause delays, but we’ll resume as soon as it’s safe to ensure proper installation.

Our Commitment

Every supervisor, project manager, and crew member at Iron Brothers Contracting is committed to treating your home as if it were our own. That means working efficiently, minimizing disruption, and leaving your property clean and safe.

At the end of the day, you’re not just getting a new roof — you’re getting peace of mind.
